Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 1,540 Send Message	There is a website, the Social Security Death Index: http://ssdi.rootsweb(.)com/ Remember to remove the ( ) from the address. On the website it explains what the SSDI is, what information can be obtained from sending for a copy of a person's information and, on the initial site search, where the last known town and state the person was from. Knowing the town and state should be able to pinpoint the vacinity of where to send for a death certificate. I often have found, using the area's online phone book, to tract down living members of a deceased person's family. Judy

Member Since: April 2004 Posts: 162 Send Message	Thank you Judy - I have emailed somewhere I found on the net and they have said it costs $30 to send the info and will be around 14 weeks. Not sure what they will send. If this is the correct person I don't think she ever married so will be struggling to find any living relatives. :o(
