Dinky, I still can't believe that your sister doesn't already have a copy of her own birth certificate, or does she only have the short version? If so, then she can order a full version of it from the GRO or the register office where the birth was registered. But as I said before, the father's name will probably either be her mother's husband or blank. If her biological father was not married to her mother then his name will only be on the certificate if he went along with her to register the birth and asked for his name to be put on. It would be legal to put her husband's name down as the father even if he wasn't the biological father. Kate.

Thanks June, is that all that can be seen, as I cannot work out how to get into these records, as for info to everyone, I have full authorisation, we are working together though I understand your concerns, I'm sure by now you all know anyway as it took some hard work to get this far, Dinky, had to change m,y name by the way due to some idiot on General. I think you would be best to delete all the personal information on this thread. Nobody can look up your sister's birth certificate except her anyway, or if you or somebody else apply for a copy with all the details (but surely she has a copy herself?) and if her mother was married when your sister was born she could have given her husband's name on the certificate as the father even if he was not the biological father, because he would be the legal father unless he refused to be.
