Jean Having seen your other post I guess you are wondering about confirming whether there is a Jewish connection. My partner is Jewish and the certificates he has for marriages (earliest 1850 as the families were in Poland before that date) all state that the marriage was performed by the Rites and Ceremonies of the Jewish Religion. My suggestion would be to get their marriage certificate as it will tell you were they were married, from these I have found out that my family were a mixture of Catholics, Methodists and COE. Then it is a matter of finding their baptisms again this would name the church and then go from there. I have COE marrying a Catholic in a Catholic church, and also COE marrying a Methodist in a Chapel. Regards Sue
