I think the first one is M.C.S.L. - probably member of the college of surgeons (not sure about the L), but I've found reference to an Edward Pope in the 1851 census who has these initials after his name, and he was a Medical and General Practioner. Kath. x |

Hi all, would anyone have any info on this? I have two ancestors that were in the medical profession, one a surgeon and one a general practitioner. On the census they have L.A.C Hall or L.A after their occupations.... Would anyone know what this might stand for? Thanks in advance Claire |
