hi no idont have his marriage cert, but i do know that he changed his name to leo alexander but on 1901 census he is down as victor for some reason,he went to america but i know hemust have died before 1921 as he is deceased on sons marriage cert in 1923 peppa |

Just to narrow it down a bit, he seems to have arrived between 1881 and 1891. Here he is on the 1891 census, living alone: Alexander Vishinky abt 1863 Poland, Russia Head Manchester Lancashire He was an upholsterer, living at 38 Bank Street, Manchester. I can't find him on the 1881 census. |

i am trying to find when my gr-grandfather came to england.he was originally from poland and arrived here before 1891 cos thats when he married,i have searched some polish records,loads of ships passenger lists and on ancestry but no luck at all,any ideas ? thanks peppa |
