im looking to buy some software which will show my full tree like the tree builder on this site but with added information about each family member in each box like thier date of death and possible place of birth. I have spotted adverts for family tree maker 2006 deluxe and family tree maker collectors addition. has anyone got one of them?and if so are they any good? will they give me a tree like i am looking for? any advice appreciated karen

It's great, Really useful - see: 'Lee from England''s thread earlier on today - he asks about ancestry subs but FTM2006 is mentioned, also 'Heather Positive Thinker's thread called 'Family tree maker cor this is handy'. If you've got time to read it you'll see loads of the useful stuff it can do. Sarah :-) I just nudged both of them to the top for you

You won't regret it Karen, I thinks it's £20 to £25. I bought mine a few months ago from S&N genealogy (online) & it was £26.45 incl postage to France but I think I've seen people on here say they got it cheaper. Mine has the 'charting companion bonus software' included but I can't see that I'll ever need more than the FTM programme provides... Sarah :-)
