finding someone without a surname

is there anyway i could find someone with out a surname ? i have the address of where they used to live in the 1990's, but i lost touch with her about 14 yrs ago , i was just wondering if she is registerd on here ,it would be nice to catch up with her etc. |

It might be worth trying Friends Reunited. I believe they have a section where people can add the roads they used to live in. If you search for the road you should be able to see if she is registered there. |

hi lesley i have tryed that with no luck hun , i have also phoned the local libary where her street was but they can not tell me the surname on the elctrol roll, but thanx anyway for yer reply hun x |

for some silly reason,some librarians take it upon themselves to misinterpret the data protection regulations-they are instructed to be able to only say yes or no to a query... eg.You ask ' Did a mrs bloggs live at 23 Ganga Street in 1990?' They are allowed to confirm or deny. but if you ask 'Who lived at 23 Ganga Street in 1990?' They reply -cant tell you that !! However these regs are only supposed to apply to Roles from 2002 onwards....a librarian told me that they were more open for years before that..........and the daft thing is,that in liverpool library for instance the electoral role books are still on the shelf till 2002 !!! You get some jobsworths who havent a clue sometimes. |

thanx alter, its a friend in the unsworth arear in bury , so i just phoned the local libary there,she did tell me all they can say is yes or no , i told her that i have the first name and the street address and she told me there is no other way she can help me, without giving her a surname to confirm or not , so what shall i do from here ? its just taking my mind away from the john thing for now , if you no what i mean. |

As I say if it goes back to 1990's the regs shouldnt apply-only other way is to physically go to the library. |

okey doke alter i shall phone them back up in the morning again ,and mention to them im after info on the regs before 2002 ,lets she what she says when it looks like i no what im talking about lol,, i will be more than happy to tell you what her reply is to me ,an im not travelin to bury hun , i can only just find the way to the trafford centre hehehehehehehe x |
