My G.Grandmother won the pools (can't remember what year). Don't think she won a lot but it made it into the papers! My Aunt still has the cutting as my Nan saved it. |

Major pools companies would have been Littlewoods and Vernons, both based, I believe, in Liverpool - think Littlewoods at least is still in operation - a 'ggogle' might help. Might also be worth a look at the local papers of the time in the area your uncle lived - would have been big news in those days. Regards Looby |

There is rumour in the family that some uncle won the pools in the 1950's. Is there anyway of checking this? Thanks in advance. Suzy |
