Sorry, had two phone calls. Yep says unmarried. Ancestry have decided relationship is 'other' and it looks like the initials N.I. to me. Cant think what that may be at the moment - at a wild guess - not indicated?. Originally I thought they would have meant NK not known but it def is an I isnt it. |

Hi I would say that it's definitely N.I. If you look at the letter J several lines above it's quite different. I agree with Heather that it's likely to mean Not Indicated. I've also seen Not Known and Not Shown. Monica |
