Is there anyone that can please help with American census around 1868 - 1873 My g.grandmother was born in America, her family was not on the G.B 1871 census but was on 1861 and 1881. On the 1881 I realised that while they had been away in America they had two children. I was wondering what they were doing over there. I have Ancestry but not the de luxe, so I can't get U.S.A, census Jean |

YOu can do a pay-per-view type thing on ancestry. Last time I did it I think it was about £4.50 for 4 days viewing of ALL the ancestry lists, including the American Census dates. You can also get free looks at the 1881 us census on familysearch .org |

Thanks Carol, I'll see what I can find. Never thought of using 'pay as you go' |
