Death look up please for Mary Ann Firkin, nee Wooley. She died in west brom staffs. She died, I believe, in the early autumn of 1841, before the census. I have looked on ancestry beta but can't see her. I am trying to find a clue to her age. Thanks

The only way to discover her age will be to buy the cert........... I thought censuses were taken early in the year................... Reg

Sometimes free bmd give an age, but not in this case. I thought the death in sept qtr was her. As 'her' husband peter is down as a widower on the 1841 census I thought the census was later in the year

Merry Report 15 May 2006 14:59

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO If the census was June 7th.....she can't be dead and not registered until July!! UNLESS......he wasn't a widow (no marital status in 1841), but she was in hospital and not yet dead. Merry

Think you will find that your one is from the 1851 census NOT 1841 .. and it appears to be the same family that I have found in the 1841 above

Judging from 1841 census ....Mum died between 1838 - June 1841......maybe she died in child birth ??? Her death was most likely indexed... Elaine ;-)

Elaine (DD !!) The census which Lynda thought was from 1841 is in fact from 1851 Mother therefore died sometime between the 1841 census (which I found) and the 1851 (which Lynda had) Elaine (the other one !!)
