Have a rellie who seems to like marrying ladies with children! this one I think is yet another of his step children Name: Mary Ann Howl Year of Registration: 1862 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep District: Walsall County: Staffordshire Volume: 6b Page: 54[27] (click to see others on page am wondering about page number, as that's how it appears on BMD so is it 54 or 27? any advice please? Linda It means that it's either 542 or 547 - the image must have been poor quality and the transcriber couldn't read whether it was a 2 or a 7. If you hang on a mo, I'll have a look at the original and see if I can make it out. Mandy :)

Thanks Mandy, there are now so many different surnames in this family from remarriage I'm getting in a right pickle! Linda (who wished her rellies married once, never moved house and never lied about their age!!)

Hi Linda It's definitely 542. The image on FreeBMD is awful, I'm surprised the transcriber could read any of the entry at all, but on 1837 it's much clearer. Mandy :) PS: There's also another HOWL birth in the same quarter, same area, but different page - maybe cousins perhaps? HOWL - Jonah - Walsall - vol 6b, page 511
