Hi How can I find the Father? I was tracking my rellie John Wood born 1828 in Great Billing Northamptonshire, on the 1851 he is visiting relations and in 1841 he is with his family but cant see a Father for him. How can I find the fathers name out? janey : 0 ) |

Did he marry - his father´s name and occupation will be on his marriage certificate |

Father's name will be on marriage cert and also in the baptism record. nell |

Hi Elaine yes that is him, with his family but when you get to 1841 he is there with Mary wood 1786 and the other 3 must be siblings but no Husband for her. Have tried Family search but could not see anything for Great billing, Northampton. Just thought I would ask incase I had missed something. i will have to buy certs I know but they are taking so long to come through. I have only been able to do this because my cert turned up on Saturday. Hey ho Thanks for all your help janey |

Great Billing is not on the IGI which is probably why you can't find anything on familysearch. You'd need to check the parish baptism register which should be at Northants county records office. nell |
