Anyone know what registration district Pimlico (London) comes under.

I think that you will find that it comes under Wandsworth or St George Hanover Square. Lynn

Pimlico is in the City of Westminster, north of the Thames. WESTMINSTER REGISTRATION DISTRICT a) 1870 to 1913 Registration County : London . Created : 1.7.1870 (previously St. James Westminster district). Abolished : 1.7.1913 (succeeded by St. Martin district). Sub-districts : Berwick Street; Golden Square; St. Anne; St. James; St. James & St. Anne; St. James's Square. GRO volumes : 1a (1870-1913). St. Anne Soho transferred to LND in 1889 LND 1889 1913 Westminster St. James transferred to LND in 1889 LND 1889 1913 Registers now in Westminster district. b) 1965 to 1974 Registration County : Greater London . Created : 1.4.1965 (formerly City of Westminster district). Sub-district :Westminster GRO volumes : 5E (1965-74 City of Westminster (part) GTL 1965 1974 the remainder of City of Westminster was in Paddington and St. Marylebone districts Registers now in Westminster district.

Many thanks for that - was hoping the answer might help me find a birth registration on freeBMD - but of course it hasn´t. Time to start trawling the complete images !

I think that you'll find that Pimlico (St Barnabas, St Gabriel & St Peter parishes) were all St George Hanover Square registration district, not Westminster: http://www.westminster.gov.uk/libraries/archives/family-history/upload/Info%20Sheet%205%20Reg%20Districts-2.pdf
