There is a no-cost option which will also give you the security of having a copy of your tree on your computer. There are several free family tree programs of which a well-known one is Personal Ancestral File (PAF). Or you may find a cheap copy of Family Tree Maker (FTM) 2005 version. Both of these programs allow you to build and rearrange your tree more flexibly then the GR version. They can also produce printed trees and text reports. You can export your GR tree as a GEDCOM file to start your home tree. Then once you've got it more up to date you can export a GEDCOM file from home to update your GR tree.
