Hi Marjorie
I wonder how you found out about the deserted children in Poplar Union Workhouse. I have just located my dad aged 3 in there in 1911. He seems to have been there without the rest of his family, although both parents (probably apart) and an older sister and brother were all living at that time Although this is outside the time referred to in your message, any suggestions how I can find out further details of his admission, etc., would be gratefully received.
Kind regards from another olde crone

76 deserted children, who were listed as being sent to Canada. I cant be bothered to type the whole thing out, but let me know if you are missing anyone aged between 2 and 16 for that time and I will look. Marjorie
