Nell Oh, thankyou for that! I have two email addys for Manchester and couldnt for the life of me work out which covered which district! Glad its Manchester and not Greater Manchester, me and the Reg at Manchester are practically betrothed and this will make an awkward request a lot more likely to be fulfilled I think. Thanks again Marjorie

I seem to be having an extremely senior moment (which has lasted all evening) and cannot remember how to tally up Volume Numbers with the actual Register Office - I hope this makes sense?! I am desperately hoping it is Blackley, Manchester - but where are the records now held? I dont want to use the GRO if I can help it. Thanks Marjorie
