When it asks u wot to open it with, can you 'browse' (there should be a button with this on)? Then find where the viewer is on your pc and click on that, 'ok' it and then it should open it with that. I hope thats come out okay? Good luck! Vikki xx

Hi sam, with it i got 2 cds the viewer and the census disc when i put the sencus disc in nothing is coming up in the viewer, windows keeps coming up saying what do i want to open the disc with, then giving me options media player etc, but i thought it would come up in the viewer, i must be doing something wrong lol, i have tried opening it with windows options but they wont lol kim

Hi Kim, I'm not sure I understand completely. I have an 1851 census on CD and it doesn't have a search facility. Not much 1851 is indexed, you just have to trawl through each area page by page. Is this what you mean? Sam

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me with this cd i have just purchased, it is called family archives census records uk 1851, i have installed the disc with the viewer on however with all my other discs, i have a search option where i put in a name press search and then it tells me to insert the disc, this one ive just got dont seem to have that, so how am i supposed to look at the census which is on the other disc? any help much appreciated kimx
