Carol If you can find where the E Registers are kept and you know the exact address, you can try E Mail or ring the library and they may do a search for you provided you do not ask for too many. I did this for an address in Plymouth in 1946, and the Plymouth Library very kindly provided me with the details that I wanted. Worth a try. Yes, sadly it is true that few of us are lucky enough to live near to the places we are interested in. Janet |

Thanks Janet I might give that a go but like most researchers I don't live near to where i'm searching....think I'll have to take a LONG holiday from work! ;o) Regards |

Have you thought of trying the main libraries at Redruth/Truro for the records? Most electoral records are at the libraries. Janet |

I need to look at the Electoral Registers for the Redruth area for 1920 onwards but am having trouble tracking them down. I have phoned Truro RO and was told I should speak to the local council?? I spoke to the local council who suggested I speak to someone at Old County Hall, Truro and they seem vague too. :o( Does anyone have any other ideas of where to look...they must be somewhere??
