Hi Yvette My Gran was living in South East London but died in the German Hospital Dalston . Her death is recorded in Hackney which is the district that Dalston came under. Shirley

Hi Yvette My Grandad lived in Yorkshire but died in Hertfordshire on his way on holiday. The death is registered in Hertfordshire. Jeanette x

If you think he died as an old man, it could have been at the seaside, in a retirement home, living with a married daughter etc. If you have access to them, it might be worth looking through probate records. You are only searching one set per year. The information on the indexes varies according to period, but you usually get address of deceased, date of death and name of executor.

Hi, can anyone help me, I am looking for my grt grandfathers death, but with no luck. IF he was living in Middx but died in, say Hertfordshire, what is written on the record, Middx or Herts? I have been trying to trace him knowing he lives in Middx, but with no luck, so maybe he died whilst out at work somewhere?? any tips greatly appreciated. Yvette
