Can anyone explain why when I am looking in Ancestry for Amelia Carter [female], Ancestry mark with 3 stars for a good match, names such as Benjamin & Charles [male]. Vivienne

It sounds as if you are using Best Match rather than Exact Match. I have never been very impressed with Best Match. It does seem to find some very unlikely matches. I prefer to use Exact Match and use some wildcards. MB
