When I first started I didn't know much about either side of the family, found grandmother marriage so I went looking for her birth and parents, as she was born 1890 I though then I can pick her up with her parents, g grandmother was there a widow. Well that only gave me 11 months to seach for his death and I found it The burial date is my daughters birthday 7.7.1981 g grandad was buried 7.7.1890, he had drown and I am still looking for the inquest results. Strange enough but I added my G Uncles details tonight and noticed his birthdate 2/4/1891 Also a few weeks back on the anniversary of my Mums death I tore open the envelope from North Yorkshire RO. I'd asked for some birth details back in the 1700's which they sent and right at the back they'd added my 5xGrandmother burial details ,which I had no idea about, and there was my Mums bithday staring at me..the day my 5xGrandmother was buried at just 27 years old on the 11th December :(( I didn't know if I was suppose to laugh or cry Sheila

I have had several spooky moments. The very first certificate I ever ordered was for my great granny. When it arrived, I realised that I had ordered it on her birthday. I know a guy who on his first visit to a RO said in a loud voice 'I'm researching the X surname' A voice from a nearby table said 'So am I. Come to lunch!' You are doing so many look ups that you have to come across odd coincidences like that. That is the rational explanation. On my last visit to a RO before Christmas one year, I idly picked up a printed volume of marriage licences and found my ancestor..... marrying an Ann Christmas! The marriage is on Familysearch, but the couple clearly left in a hurry and only one name is noted in full. Some events are definitely meant to be found out.
