Hampshire Record Office, by the sound of it. Try looking on their website to see what they hold, and on A2A. I know they have a huge collection, I think relating to the Bishop of Winchester's estates. I once spent a whole week going through manorial records, but cannot now remember whether it was for Fareham, East Meon or Bishop's Waltham. I do know that people were moving between parishes all owned by the same major landowner.

Thanks Brenda, Someone did a lookup for me a while ago and found information in the Bishops Waltham book. I have tried to email him for further information but it looks as though he has changed his email address and no longer a member here. Thanks anyway. Jackie

Where have you found a mention of this? Look at the National Archives site and follow the links to the Manorial Documents Register. Manorial records are rarely held where you expect them to be. Some are in the local records office, some in records offices on the other side of the country and some are still in private hands.

Hi Can anybody tell me if this book can be viewed at any records office, the records office local to the place you are looking or at PRO Kew? Jackie
