Hello Linda, When you have the PAF application on your screen, put the floppy disc in, click on File, Save as, then click on the arrow next to the word 'save' at the top and highlight 3 1/2 Floppy, put in a file name if you want to change it and then press 'save'. Hope I've been clear. Cherie

Yes, you can transfer to a floppy. Just go to the File drop down menu in the top left hand corner and use save as. It will save your file on/in whatever you specify (hard drive C, CD, floppy, etc.) It will be saved with the label .paf. If you would rather save it as a gedcom, use the export command instead of save as

Hi Linda, what info are you trying to save - is it just the info you have input or the programme itself? The easiest way if its your info would be to save it as a GEDCOM file, then transfer this to disk and when you have re-installed PAF on the new computer you should be able to open it. Trudy

Thanks everyone have done it. Strange thing is I had already done it the right way and nothing! I suppose it's because this computer is on its last legs! Thanks again Linda x
