How do you find the page you want to start at? And how long to the credits last for? Is there an expiry date?

Hi Kate Many thanks for the info :-) Does anyone know if you can save the pages that youve viewed? Thanks Karen

thanks Kate, Middlesex certainly interests me. Seems as if more sites are getting involved now in providing an online census service, what with the 1837 site making the 1861 census available bit by bit, as well as Ancestry, of course.

If you look at http://www.stepping-stones (.) (short for company - 2 letters) (.) uk (/) index (.)cfm remove spaces and brackets they say they have the 1851 census online for Middlesex, Essex and Lancashire, 25 credits for £10, each credit will let you look through a set of about 300 pages (they don't have a surname index to search). I can't think of any ancestors to look for in those three counties but coming next are Surrey, London and Kent and I will definitely be interested in them! Anyway, I will be trying it out when those counties go live but if you try it out for the ones that are live already, please put your views on the site on this thread so the rest of us know if it's any good! Kate.
