hi carol, if you have their number, phone them, they will send you the forms, you need to get permission for the records to be released to you from the next of kin. the cost was £20, but well worth it, there is also about a 6 month wait. i recently got my grandads army papers, and was amazed with what i was sent, it also gave me names of other members of his family that i never knew existed. good luck nardia

I have downloaded my grandfathers medal card from the National Archives site so have his regiment and service number. I also know his date of birth, though it is thought that he lied about his age to get into the army. I have the address in Glasgow for army personel records. Does anyone know what information is required and is there a charge please.
