~The meaning of words comes up over and over again. Would it be an idea to have a Dictionary Board, where we could post the meanings of old medical terms, name abbreviations, old occupations, strange legal terms etc? But how would we get it into alphabetical order? (Computer dimwit speaking) Marjorie

Although some queries come up time and again, there are always some new and unexpected answers. I've had to review books on old occupations, terms from wills etc, and they usually suffer from the limitations of the editor: masses from his local area or period of interest, but silence on the one word I am interested in. The depth of knowledge that others bring - and there are so many people with different specialisms and new people joining the boards all the time - makes each discussion fascinating. If only I had time to follow up all the new suggestions!
