The IGI has the following marriage entry: 7 Jun 1833 Thomas SCOTT married Helen BROWN at Eccles, Berwick, Scotland I would really love to have confirmation from the registers as this is a patron submission. Any help would be much appreciated, Chris

You might not get very much info on the certificate either. An OPR I got for one of mine from Edinburgh in 1822 gave Spouse's name and occupation, Brides name both of High Church Parish daughter of the late William surname, his occupation, Edinburgh. Unfortunately this hasn't helped me with finding who William married as there's 3 possibilies I can't find out which (so far).

I ordered an Old Parish register marriage cert (1845) from there in the very early days of my research and it didn't justify the cost as it told me no more than what was listed on the site.
