What I forgot to add is that this was Dorothy's second marriage. She was first married in 1908 to Edward Thomas FOSTER who died in April 1915. Also, the Henry that someone mentioned above, I found him but it also looks like he died the same year! Thanks for the help, I suppose I'll just have to learn to be patient! Caroline

I think it's really sweet that the surname appears to come from the place, which in turn is a saint's name..... Or are they all descended from the saint?!!

This is a possibility from freebmd. Births Mar 1897 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keverne Arthur Redruth 5c 212 Keverne Henry Redruth 5c 212 The surname seems to be almost exclusively in Cornwall. If you try searching the 1901 census, you should be able to find this Henry to se whether he is with the right father. Happy hunting Brenda

perhaps Harry was his middle name and didn't like Richard

As Zoe says usually Henry, or Harold. Richard would be Dick, Dickie or Rick or Ricky Christine

I have found a marriage between Dorothy W FOSTER and Harry KEVERNE in 1920. I cannot find any record of Harry's birth. Someone mentioned that his name might be Richard but I never knew that Harry was a diminuitive for Richard...just assumed it was Harold. Are there any other names that Harry could be used for? TIA Caroline
