There's no need to be too specific with place of birth on the search - 'Lin' will find LINcoln, LINcolnshire, PilLINg, KilLIN eic. |

I guess, as with look-ups it needs to be looked at and criiteria adjusted accordingly - and a reasonable knowledge of geography - not my strong point! jess |

Just entered three new names on my tree, which two very kind people found for me last night on the Records Board. I then searched for these names .... but not even MINE came up!!! Realised that I had been a bit too specific in my birth-places but it made me think - will a search for matching names on here only match you with someone elses's if the information is exactly the same? If so, it isnt much use, is it? Marjorie |
