Illegal operation error message helppppp !!!

when I try to scroll down the page on the mesage boards on Gr I keep on getting this error message...then the programme is closed (This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down If the problem persists, contact the program vendor ) See more below..... can anyone help ?

I have re started my pooter, and deleted cookies ect. I have also looked on the microsoft site and found no answers there.

internet explorer is conflicting with something i think...have you tryed another web site? will it let you scroll there...have you got a virus protector on? try resetting comp and reset modem too if its broadband...

only on this site. doesnt happen all the time, but has happened at least 8 times today and ove the last few days...its now getting worse E x

Hi Elaine, You're not the only one!!! It only started when they updated the site. It only happens as I scroll down the page and then I have to restart the computer in order to dial up again. Mine has always been a bit tempremental so I didn't bother too much. It seems to do it most if you scroll down immediately before everything has loaded. I think if I use the down arrow it is not as bad - but that could be my imagination. I think (as someone has already said) it is a conflict with something else. I have W98 and Internet Explorer with a dial up connection. Anne

Im on tesco net broadband, and restarting pooter doesnt stop the problem E x

used to have norton but since going to broadband, I cannot install my norton again, or any other anti virus ect I am scanning my compas i speak with a free program & it hasnt found anything yet Elaine x

Elaine Have you asked Tesco why you can't install Norton? We're on broadband but have still got Norton on. Chrissie

i had that trouble when i tried to install nortons internet security on my laptop....i had to delete every bit of nortons then re-install it...right pain it was...
