Will a birth certificate for 1825 give the mothers maiden name? Thanks Linda

Linda, if it's a Forces one, it's unlikely. I've got several lately and the Army have listed the parents as William and Jane Bailey. Can you imagine what an uproar that would cause these days. Jan :-)

I have found who I think is my GGGGrandmothers parents with mothers maiden name on 1881 but there are two families with almost the same names and I want to be sure to get the right one. Have only just got back this far so I am stuck as to what to do next. Can anyone help please? Linda
