Kathleen I agree. I think block capitals should be the order of the day. It isn't so bad if you can make out the beginning of the word, but so often the initial letter is exceptionally flowery - very pretty, but quite illegible unless you already know what it says, in which case its not important! I have had capital S turn into L and T. I've had M turn into T, J turn into D etc. nell |

Hi Kate i use a magnifying glass, and sometimes scan it onto pc and enlarge sometimes helps sandra |

oh how i wish registrars used good old printing instead of fancy joined up writing, would make reading maiden surnames an awful lot easier, tracing relles would be easier too |
