I'm confused... What is that list of names Gemma? And what are you trying to do exactly, research your neighbours family history, or are you asking for help to do it? If you are suggesting listing names here of friends & neighbours in the hopes that members will read through and spot a link then........ surely that's a million to one chance needle in a haystack I'm afraid Or maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick :) Sam

.....And not just the elderly ones that you meet. By managing to bring family history into conversation, I got an offer of a lookup help when our gas meter reader went researching for himself in Jersey. He found the family I needed, too.

Just a thought.........before I go shopping.... If everyone went to an elderly friend/neighbour today and asked them the names of their ancestors, surely we would help so many people on this site who are at a dead end. I suggest that any info found should simply read;- Surname, names, dates, places. I wonder how many names we could find by the end of the day. Gem
