please help this is harder than i thought how do i find gggreat grandfathers name i dont know ggreatgrandfathers d.o.b. or anything i am getting desperate ----------

Sandra, you have to start from what you know and work backwards, do you have your grandfathers details, and his parents - then begin to order the death, marriage and birth certs and you will get there eventually - Trudy

Sandra you have to work with what you know, 1. do you have grandfathers marriage and birth cert 2. these will give you his fathers name, and his mothers maiden name. 3 . then you look for his parents marriage and work back again 4 once you get to the 1901 census you will then be able to work right the way back. 5 if you post what you do know, i'll try and help point you where to go next sandra
