I am trying to find a John Edward Sindall born 1851, Boston, Lincs. He is on the 1871 census aged 21. He does not appear to be on the 1881 or 1901 census. I have found a death of a john Edward Sindall in 1888 aged 33 (Woolwich)but that would not be his correct age, but I cannot find this john on the 1881 census either. Has anyone got any suggestions what I can do next. Vanessa

I've searched 1881 for all John birth parish Bsoton born 1850-1851. Only vaguely similar one is: John Thurlwell abt 1850 Boston Spa, Yorkshire, England Head Clifford Cum Boston - domestic gardener /private 1st class army reserve thats similar as in ends in same two letters - other than that none were close

I think i found the right chap in 1871 ............In which case I can't see him anywhere in 1881...and I've tried everything !! His mother is a widow and he's not with her. His brother in married and he's not with them....... Sorry....I tried. Esta

Hi Zoe Yes that's who I thought they were in 1871 aswell. In 1881 the mother is mis-transcribed as Ann Lindell and the brother is mis-transcribed as Charles Tindall But no sigh of John as far as I could see. Esta x

Esta, Zoe has found the correct family, I know that Charles the father died in 1879 and Charles Henry married in 1879, Sarah lived until 1898, but John Edward seems to have disappeared. Thanks for all your help it is very much appreciated, Vanessa

I've also exhausted every way of searching I can think of in 1881 and come up with nothing

and at one point when i looked for aged for this family they came up with one L at the end of the surname I thought i had found this one? Which one did i find then? jess
