Wonder if anyone can help - Am trying to find a marriage ref for my gggrandparents THOMAS BUTLIN (c.1841 Rothwell, Northants) and ELIZA STURMAN (1846 Orton, Northants) - their children were David (1867), Mary Ann (my ggrandmother 1867), Elizabeth (1874) and Arthur (1880). I have Eliza's ref for her birth, and for her death in 1889 in Kettering, but can't find Thomas's birth and am going round and round getting nowhere with their marriage - can anyone help? Eternally grateful, Trudy |

Thanks Heather, but think Lutterworth and Portse are too far away - her birth and death are within 5 miles or each other - and he was born about 4 miles away so can't see that they would be that far from home to get married - but will have another look at the others. Thanks Trudy |

Hi Heather - I am slow today please forgive me!!! I think the refs that you have given me for 1841 are in fact my ggggrandparents (ie. Thomas's father's marriage) the marriage I am looking for would approx 1865, so you may inadvertantly taken me back another generation - thanks Trudy |
