Not the same one then, but I eventually found mine miles away from where I was expecting her - just goes to show how easy it is to make mistakes and follow the wrong leads lol

Tracy - what was the surname of your Selina? I too chased a Selina for months, only to find her transcribed as Salina!!! Sarah

Oh no, What a shame. Never mind think of the fun you had doing it. and you can start all over again. I often wondered if had gone wrong, but I have heard from a cousin, and he has sent me his tree. It is almost the same as mine, but he could make out the places on the certs beter than I did. Keep hunting , better luck next time. Keep it all anyway, there still might be a link. Marion

my gr grandmother was born 1899 in liverppol - when i looked on the 1901 census i couldn't find a madeline (Annie) White - but I found a M Ann white - managed to follow the lead back to 1810. however before i went to the library today i stumbled across a Madalane A white (correct age) and wondered - so i looked up Madelines marriage record - and low & behold - i'd followed the wrong family grrrrr
