Lots of them in Spilsby and Boston areas 1851 has these references (Croyland): 1747/778 which is in Peterborough District (Northants?) 1747/813 ditto 1841 Crowland 606/13-30 Richard Baker 65 AgLab Jane 60 Susanna Forth 25 606/12-12 Robert Baker 70 (NOT Lincs) 606/13-34 John Baker 35 AgLab Mary 30 Jane 13 Mary 11 James 9 Susannah 7 Sarah 6 Elizabeth 4 Hannah 2 Emma 6m All Lincs

Hi and thanks for the info on the Balderson family. Thanks too, Geoff for the last bit of info that there were no others of that name in the area at this time. I can now concentrate on just where they all went to, now I know they moved on and didn`t stay there. Jay.

there is a family of Thomas Balderson in Corner Farm Thorney Lincs which is very close to Crowland the father is Thomas B 1837 the wife Sarah Ann B 1833 Daughters Emily and Clara may be twins B 1870 Elizabeth B 1871 jessie B 1873 Susan Ada B 1876 Henry B 1867 Thomas B 1864 . There is also a Sarah Ann B 1881 in crowland working as a housemaid in Knarr Farm Thorney and a Sara B 1865 in Crowland working as a Nurse ilving at New Street Thorney have a look on (www.)familysearch.(org) remove brackets

Hi, Is there anyone with access to the 1841 census surname index for Lincolnshire? The area I am interested in is Crowland/Croyland. and the names are Balderson and Baker. Jay.
