can anyone who knows this area tell me how close they are. i have found a possible birth for Emma mary pike on the IGI In Langley Marish -or Marsh? On census records she claims to be born in Colnbrook. Can anyone help please? Alice

Thank you Tracey, I received a birth certificate today and discovered Mum's maiden name. She was christened in Langley Marish according to the IGI. Would the records be kept Berkshire or Buckinghamshire and do you know where? Alice

Alice, The two have swapped between Bucks and Berks a bit ... currently both are in Bucks ... I think! Best bet would be to google both Record Offices and email/phone to ask the question. Post again if you need stuff picking up ... clearly there's a bunch of us nearby! Kind Regs Jane

Hi I went to school at Langley Marish first school and Primary. Langley used to be a medium sized village it has however grown in size now. The school was situated behind the park in the centre of the village. The houses around there must have the Langley Marish address. Now I think it is just known as Langley. Hope its of a little help.
