Merchant Taylors is a famous Public Scool and they are all over the country. Try googling as suggested. Janet |

I'm hoping someone with a knowledge of Dublin can help with this one. I have an ancestor who attended the Howarth Rd School, Dublin and Merchant Taylors, Dublin some time in the late1800-early1900's. Do these places still exist and can anyone recommend good websites to find out more about them please? There are several sites for various Merchant Taylor schools around the world but I would really like a picture and a potted history of it...what is it exactly? many thanks, Sylvia |
