I googled and got this Tubercle TB OF THE KNEE TB does not only affect the chest - it affects other organs as well, and the knee is a favourite bone for this destructive organism to grow in. In can these days be successfully treated - but in the knee it is important to cure the infection before the joint is destroyed. Anna

Surely this is tuberculosis?. It can affect other parts of the body as well as the lungs. Exhaustion is quite a common term on death certificates. Basically they were so sick they had no more energy and just died. Anne
