Apologies if this has already been posted, but Ancestry have just added the following database. Handy for recent marriages and engagements if you have any posh relatives who advertised the occasion in the Times!! London Times, Marriages, 1982-2004: This database contains extracted information from engagement and marriage announcements published between January 1982 and June 2004 in London's Times newspaper. This database contains approximately 80,000 announcements and includes the following information: name of groom, date of event, indications of whether it is a 'marriage' or 'engagement' announcement, name and/or place of residence of the groom's father, name of bride, name and/or place of residence of the bride's father, and date the announcement appeared in the Times. |
