And do make your web page aswell because that is another copy of your work in cyber space if the pc crashes, and you tread on the back up disc!

Just put the CD in and Go, it really is easy, even I managed to work it? play with it a bit before getting down to the real business, look at all the stuff you can do with it (Not much different from the last version) and just make sure you back up your tree every so often, if not everytime. Just play about with it. Ive had my since November and I stil dont know what all the bells and buttons can do. But I have printed reports, time lines, a web page - just use the help tab or ask anyone on here. But I would suggest you get a rewritable cd so that you back up every time you add info, just in case your pc crashes.

wonderful, my son gave me a the 2005 Family Tree Maker for my ******* th birthday, don't even want to type the numbers! any tips on using it?
