Hi, Birth certs have the maiden name of the mother. Gwynne

Andrew You will either have to buy the marriage cert or one of the birth certs of the children to find the mothers maiden name. Unless its after the middle of 1911 when the mothers maiden name appears in the GRO indexes. Margaret

it can depend on when the person was born i think after 1920 on the 1837 online it will show you the maiden name of mother but if it's pre 1920 then the certificate is the only option! :)
