I suppose the Records Office board tends to be mainly requests for census or bmd/parish look-ups, whereas the tips board is more wide-ranging queries (and sometimes, even tips!) No need to be scared - jump on in! Nell

Jess, you wrote the reply that I was thinking of. When it comes to the Records Board I am a big ole scaredy cat, it just seems so 'formal'. Out of all the boards I feel more comfortable on Tips, however, I think it would be a good idea to have a Census and BMD help board. Sam. (smiley sam, if you read through this thread again, thank you once again for all your help earlier)

Me too, like Jess I think that the Record Board is much more 'formal' than this one. I only use this board and records on the site.

I agree with you Kay, and with the reply from Jess. I don't actually mind what goes where, I check both, in fact they are the only 2 boards I use on this sie. regards Sam

records office seems more 'formal' - and i think scary! seems to me that tips is a sort of 'Discovery' place but only my interpretation jess

Is it me,i have noticed just latley,there is getting to be little difference between,Record and Tips Boards>> or am I being picky??pickey??
