Sorry for the delay Maggie! The probate calendars are in the county archives in each area. I believe most county archives have copies. The index is NATIONAL from 1858. Just go for the year you think the probate was registered in (NOT the same as the death year in some cases). Anne

No, but its easy to find a wiil that went to probate after 1858. Ever since then there has been an annual list of all the probates in the country. You can find the 'probate calendars' at archives and also, I believe, some courts. Anne
