how do I find a family from an address ?

does anyone know how you find out who lived at a certain address in, say 1937/1938 in London ? |

Try your local library, they hold many records on addresses and who lived there. |

You could try the Electoral role. Available at the local records office I think. |

I know I might seem stupid - my excuse is i am new to computers and this family tree stuff !!! How do I find an electrol roll if I don't live anywhere near the area I want to check up on ?? |

But local directories and electoral rolls are usually at libraries/local history centres/archives locally. So you would need to find someone in the area who could do a look-up for you, or pay the library/archive to search on your behalf. nell |
