I cannot get the new viewer to display properly, just a mass of colours, but while trying to improve the picture I found that if you right click on the image there is a drop down box that has Invert and also information on the image. You can also adjust brightness, contrast and gamma. As I can't read the images at the moment I don't know if these work but it is worth trying. regards Gill

That's a point Sammy, no there isn't. So much for it being an improved view :-(((((

Is there still the option to invert? Turn the page black - and the text white. I found that helpful on lots of occasions, - if it's there I cant find it Sam

I have downloaded it no problem but don't like it as much. At first glance it looks better but you haven't got the 'select' option which enabled you to draw round the image before printing to get rid of the black border thus saving ink. At least, if it is there I can't find it!!

Like you I wondered about downloading the new system as my hubby would go bananas if I upset his computer. Sue

Hi, Yesterday, after reading Andrea`s message and the comments about the new viewing system for Ancestry, though I`ll go and have a look, nosey begger me!! Anyway, I thought, well as I use it quite a bit, I`ll go ahead and download it. Must say quite happy with the results, it so much easier to view right across the whole image now. The only slight concern I have just though of is (and hope someone can reassure me on this?) it did mention before you click to download, that it could possibly harm your computer, but I thought, well surely Ancestry would not allow anything harmful to be associated with their site (I hope) the other thing is, will having downloaded this, interfere in any way when I view other images? for instance, when I use Scotslands people, and view & print out BMD certificates? I was previously using Djavu I know that spelling is incorrect, please forgive me but brain is on a go slow today!!)
