When and where died Name & Surname Sex Age Occupation Cause of Death Signature description and residence of informer When registeres Signature of registrar More recent certificates have date and place of birth and maiden name, if a married woman. Peter

No does not usually contain next of kin etc. Usual items are date and place of death. Name and occupation of deceased. (BUT if a child it might say 'son of ...' and if a woman it might say 'widow of ...' or wife of ...). Cause of death (it also notes if there was an inquest) Informant - this may or may not be a relative. It is often NOT the nearest and dearest of the deceased. address of informant Anne

Can anyone tell me what kind of info you get on a death cert? Does it contain stuff like next of kin and parents or just cause of death? cheers c...x
